The Farm
Farmilia is a 50-acre regenerative farmstead nestled in rural Ottawa, Ontario (Canada). Blending thoughtful animal care with ecological plant cultivation, we steward a diverse landscape where livestock, perennials, and wild ecosystems work in harmony. Our cultivated space spans about 2 acres, including raised beds, field crops, fruit and nut orchards, berry patches, a hoop house, and a hops trellis — all interwoven with wildcrafting from the surrounding woodlands.

At Farmilia, we focus on growing and foraging high-quality fruits, vegetables, culinary and medicinal herbs, using regenerative and permaculture-inspired practices to nourish both the land and the community — from our local neighbours to markets across Ontario.

Our priorities as farmers are rooted in five principles:
1. Quality Over Quantity
We prioritize growing nutrient-dense, high-quality food — even if that means less of it. Our focus is on excellence and intention, ensuring that those who value real food have access to it.

2. Nature First
We put nature at the heart of everything we do — stewarding the land with care, minimizing waste, and building systems that support long-term ecological balance.

3. Regeneration
Our practices go beyond sustainability — they aim to restore. From soil-building to biodiversity, every decision we make supports the renewal of ecosystems for future generations.

4. Stewardship
We see ourselves as caretakers, not owners. With humility and responsibility, we tend the land, animals, and natural cycles with deep respect and reverence.

5. Community
We grow more than food — we grow connection. Whether it's sharing knowledge, supporting neighbors, or feeding families, community is at the root of everything we cultivate.
